Jacob Swindells

British pianist and vocal coach Jacob Swindells is a recent graduate of the Young Artist Programme at the National Opera Studio in London. This year he has joined the register of freelance pianists with English National Opera and has been engaged as a guest repetiteur with Opera North on Ruddigore. Prior to this he held a Junior Fellowship at the Royal Northern College of Music where he played for all of the college's major productions. As a recitalist he has performed at The Bridgewater Hall Manchester and made his Wigmore Hall debut with the National Opera Studio in 2024. As a singer he has performed in ensembles including The Choir of Merton College Oxford, Norwich Cathedral Choir and the Yale Schola Cantorum. A passionate teacher, Jacob has worked in schools across South London and as the accompanist and piano coach on Music Makers summer courses in Hampshire. He holds music degrees from Oxford and Yale universities and is privileged to continue his studies with renowned pianist Melanie Spanswick and Soprano Rachel Nicholls.
