Magnus grew up in Glasgow, coming from a musical home, singing and playing the piano, amongst other instruments, from an early age. He is currently in his 2nd year of the opera course at the Royal Academy of Music, where he also studied his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Vocal Performance.

Magnus has worked professionally as a freelance musician for several years now, performing various repertoire as a oratorio soloist with orchestras such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony and the Philharmonia.

Magnus has a keen love of art song and is an Oxford Lieder young artist and has also performed on the Leeds Lieder young artist programme. He has performed He has performed across UK and in Europe including concerts in the Edinburgh International Festival and the Zeist International Lied Festival .
