“I believe an ideal teacher is patient, empathetic, imaginative, and the right amount of challenging, which is all I strive to be in my teaching. I focus on both musicality and technique, but also very much on physical and mental wellbeing whilst playing and practicing, so that it's not effective but also healthy.  Musical training can be very satystysing and empowering for the student, as it teaches patience, discipline, leading, negotiatiating, listening, and how to work with others - my goal as a teacher is to facilitate and aid that process as much as I can.”

Hi there! My name is Alicja, originally I’m from Kraków in Poland, but I spent the last six years in London, studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where I’ve obtained my Bachelor and Masters of Music degree. My main instrument is harp, with piano as my second instrument. I’ve received a thorough training in all classical music areas such as: ear-training, rhythm, harmony, history and analysis of music, chamber music, orchestra and choir. I've won 1rd, 2nd and 3rd place at several international music competitions from an early age, and  performed in prestigious venues such as the Barbican Hall, Milton Court, Cadogan Hall, and the Krakow Philharmonic. Alongside classical music, in recent years I’ve developed an acute interest in electro-acoustic music, improvisation, and jazz. I’ve been teaching privately for the past seven years.
